Cascade Aerospace President David Schellenberg has been elected
to the Board of Directors for the Aerospace Industries Association
of Canada (AIAC).
One of 30 AIAC board members, Schellenberg has been elected for
a three year term.
The Aerospace Industries Association of Canada is the national
trade association of Canada’s aerospace manufacturing
and service sector. The Association represents the interest of 400
companies, in all regions of Canada. Since 1990, Canadian aerospace
industry sales have more than doubled, reaching $22 billion in
2002.
“It is an honour for me to join this Board, and I
look forward to working with the variety of aerospace industry
representatives from across the country,” says
Schellenberg.
Cascade Aerospace Inc. is a privately owned Canadian company
specializing in the maintenance, repair, overhaul and modification
of narrow body transport aircraft. With approximately 500 people,
the Abbotsford-based company operates from a modern, eight-bay
facility and provides services to Southwest Airlines and other
major North American airlines, and to leasing companies such as
Boullioun Aviation, GECAS, and ILFC.
