HMY CONTRACTS CASCADE AEROSPACE FOR B757
MODIFICATION
October 22nd, 2003 :
Abbotsford, BC (News Release)
Canadian airline HMY Airways recently contracted Cascade
Aerospace to complete interior modifications on one of their Boeing
757-200 aircraft. The interior modification was for fleet
standardization purposes and Cascade conducted the reconfiguration
and provided the engineering services for it.
“We are delighted to work with HMY Airways, and we
hope this marks the beginning of a long-term relationship with this
Canadian operator, now that we’re B757
capable,” says Cascade President David Schellenberg.
“Although we specialized exclusively in Boeing 737
aircraft as a start-up strategy for our new, purpose-built MRO
facility, our intent was always to branch out into other aircraft
types, and the B757 is the first type in our diversification
plan,” he added.
HMY Airways is a Vancouver-based international airline that
provides scheduled service between Vancouver and Los Angeles and
Toronto, and charter service to Las Vegas and six destinations in
Mexico.
Cascade Aerospace Inc. is a privately owned Canadian company
specializing in the maintenance, repair, overhaul and modification
of narrow body transport aircraft, including all models of the
Boeing 737 and Boeing 757 types. With approximately 500 people, the
Abbotsford-based company operates from a modern, eight-bay facility
and provides services to Southwest Airlines and other major North
American airlines, and to leasing companies such as Boullioun
Aviation, GECAS, and ILFC.
