January 17th, 2005 : Abbotsford, BC (News Release)
Cascade Aerospace Inc. is actively recruiting over 100 skilled professionals to expand its workforce to support the company’s aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services business as a direct result of the growing customer demand for Cascade’s services, David Schellenberg President, Cascade Aerospace Inc. announced today.

“Cascade has steadfastly pursued a business strategy of on-time, on-quality, on-budget delivery of reliable aircraft to our customers with the specific business goal of becoming the premier maintenance services provider in North America,” said Schellenberg.  “The execution of that strategy has earned Cascade a good reputation with our customers and is fuelling our company’s growth.”

Cascade’s customer reputation for quality and reliability, combined with emerging business opportunities in the MRO industry, requires Cascade to immediately recruit over 100 new, skilled individuals to help meet Cascade’s commercial commitments and to expand the company’s capabilities to include military C-130 maintenance.

To support the company’s recruitment efforts, Cascade will be hosting two Job Fairs – one in Edmonton, Alberta and one in Halifax, Nova Scotia, both of which will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on January 22 and 23, 2005.  In Halifax, Cascade’s Job Fair will be held at Cambridge Suites Halifax, 1583 Brunswick Street.  In Edmonton, Cascade’s Job Fair will be held at the Fairmont Hotel, 10065 - 100 Street.

Cascade’s upcoming Job Fairs will be focused on attracting maintenance and engineering professionals who have commercial (B737 and B757) and military (C-130) aircraft experience to a variety of possible positions including: Program Managers, Maintenance Supervisors, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (Avionics, Mechanics, Structures), Production Planners, Material Planners/Researchers, Liaison Engineers, Design Engineers, System Engineers, Project Engineers, Technical Writers and Technical Illustrators.

“A key factor to Cascade’s success has been the talented people in our workforce,” said Michael Coughlin, Executive Vice-President at Cascade.  “We look forward to welcoming people who want to continue their career growth in British Columbia.”
