HARMONY AIRWAYS SIGNS FIVE YEAR CONTRACT WITH
CASCADE AEROSPACE
January 4th, 2005 :
Vancouver, BC (News Release)
 Vancouver’s Harmony Airways
has announced a five year contract with Cascade Aerospace of
Abbotsford for Line and Heavy Maintenance of the
airline’s fleet of Boeing aircraft, beginning March 1,
2005.
Harmony currently flies three Boeing 757-200 aircraft, with
plans to increase the fleet with additional aircraft in the near
future.
Given Cascade’s specialty with the maintenance,
repair and overhaul of narrow body aircraft, including all models
of the 757 and 737, the partnership is a very good fit for both
companies.
“We’re very excited to be entering into
this agreement with Cascade. I am confident that they will provide
exceptional service and I’m pleased that we are able to
find a local company to partner with,” said Gary
Collins, Harmony’s President & CEO.
“We are delighted to be partnering with
Harmony Airways, especially in this innovative, “total
services” way,” says David Schellenberg,
President of Cascade Aerospace.
Harmony Airways is privately owned by Dr. David T.K. Ho and
operates scheduled service from Vancouver to Toronto, Palm Springs,
Las Vegas, Honolulu and Maui. Harmony offers packaged vacations
through its tour operator affiliate, Companion Holidays.
Cascade Aerospace, also a privately owned Canadian company, is
one of the top MRO providers in North America, providing services
for line and heavy check maintenance, as well as major
modifications such as cargo conversions.
Cascade’s family of over 500 people is headquartered at
the Abbotsford International Airport.
