About the Cascade Aerospace CRJ200PF kit

The Cascade Aerospace CRJ200PF kit includes parts, modification instructions, technical publications, and airworthiness certification necessary to support third-party conversion of Bombardier CRJ100 or CRJ200 aircraft from a passenger configuration to a Class E package freighter.

The modification involves removing interior passenger-related elements and installing a full cabin length Class E cargo compartment. The compartment is designed to haul package freight and/or containers of varying shapes and sizes, including dangerous goods and dry ice.

Kit Installation
The modification, not including removal of interior furnishings, is designed to require 2,500 labour hours to complete.
The estimated time to complete the modification is 24 working days, based on two eight hour shifts per day.

Kit Content
The cascade Aerospace CRJ200PF kit contains all materials required to convert the aircraft to the certified Class E freighter configuration, including:

  • Structural parts creating cargo net attachment along the length of the upper fuselage
  • Liner supports, liner panels, liner close-out features, and lower kick-plate assemblies
  • Replacement floor panels (100 pounds per square foot Inserts Installed)
  • Ventilation ducting and shut-off valve Installation assembly
  • Smoke detector system
  • Cargo lighting system
  • Window plugs
  • Forward lefthand monument replacing the galley (supports cockpit door hinge and Jump seat supports)
  • Wiring harnesses, switches, circuit breakers and related support parts
  • All relevant placards
Each kit also includes:

  • 9G forward restraint nets (Zones 1 through 5).
  • Tail stand
  • Fire extinguisher and smoke hood (mounted).
Additional options are available to suit operator-specific requirements, including:

  • Low cost replaceable protective door boards
  • Removable door side protection panels
